IT Recruitment and training agency, Vertex IT Solutions,
responds to new figures showing positive growth in the IT industry at the
beginning of 2012. New figures have shown an improvement in the UK IT industry
for the beginning of this year with financial experts predicting that positive
prospects will continue, and even help prevent the likelihood of the country
falling into another recession in 2012.
Keith Jeffcoat, IT Recruitment Director at Vertex added, “The
research shows a change in fortune for British IT industry, as the sector
appears to have kick-started back into life. Hopefully this will lead to new
investment over the coming year, as well as potentially leading to an increase
in job opportunities. Our market review suggests it will be a good start to the
year when it comes to hiring in the UK. Employers in the country are planning
to improve their recruitment strategies for the coming year offering job
seekers a reason to celebrate in 2012. More than 90 per cent of employers in Vertex’s
client circle anticipate increasing their head count in 2012, but will be
looking at recruiting only qualified people. It is very clear that the economy of
UK is picking up in various sectors and with significant regional projects
being announced, much of the IT expertise for these projects is being sourced locally.
We are already seeing situations where companies are competing for talent, and
generally I believe we can expect for growth in Demand and Supply. The
quickening pace of hiring and the rise in job availability are pleasing signs
from a hiring market which has been fragile over the last few months. With recruitment levels in general set to continue at a
steady pace in the coming year, Vertex aims to further expand its operations.”
